FIRM FACES £180,000 FINE FOR CUTTING DOWN 9 TREES

A property developer who felled 9 trees in Brighton, Sussex, which had preservation orders on them now faces a fine of £20,000 per tree.
The council is seeking the maximum penalties thanks to the huge amount of protest about them from local residents.
A multifaith service was held in the memory of these huge beautiful trees that were cut down, and a protest camp grew up on the site.
