Why Trees for Travel?
We are neither tour operator, travel agency nor booking office; we are a charity that seeks to reduce global warming by allowing consumers to calculate the amount of harmful greenhouse gases their flights and other activities emit and to offset that amount by supporting forestry projects in developing countries. You still make your booking and fly with the airline of your choice, but in addition you can contribute a modest amount per flight, either before or after you fly, that goes towards neutralising the greenhouse effect. We guarantee that your donation will be used to finance the planting, regeneration and maintenance of forests that will offset the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from your flight(s) or other activities within one year. You will receive a certificate by email or through the post.
